about

A Dominican-American artist, born and raised in New York City. Classically trained in flamenco, ballet, and modern dance, she moves fluidly between performance, direction, and teaching.

Cynthia studied at Ballet Hispánico before majoring in dance at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, with acting training in the Meisner and Williamson techniques at the Maggie Flanigan Studio. Her work lives where movement, story, and presence meet.

teaching

passing it on

Teaching at HB Studio, NYU Tisch's Meisner Studio Future Artists Program, NYU's LANGArts Scholars Program, and the Terry Knickerbocker Studio.

For Cynthia, teaching is its own performance, a way of sharing discipline, resilience, and a lifelong love of craft. Her practice is deeply somatic: she helps students reconnect with the body as a source of both strength and release, not just a tool for performance. Rooted in the belief that the body is an actor's truest instrument, she teaches that real expression begins with awareness rather than imposed technique, guiding performers to release what the body holds unprocessed and to move from a place of presence. It's the same principle whether the goal is a truthful performance or simply feeling whole again. It's the same belief that anchors her own life: that movement is how we come back to ourselves.

This work reaches people from all walks of life, well beyond the stage. Cynthia also coaches executives and professionals, from CEOs to first-time speakers, helping them find presence and command in high-stakes moments, from the keynote stage to the boardroom.

workshops & retreats

gathered together

Beyond one-on-one work, Cynthia leads workshops and retreats for groups of every kind: friends, families, teams, or anyone seeking to move and reconnect together.

Some are rooted in performance and movement; others open into somatic and wellness practices, weaving breath, sound, and stillness into a shared experience. Whether a company gathers its people to build trust and presence, or a circle of friends comes together to slow down, the work meets each group where they are: in the body, in the moment, and in each other's company.
